Meet Leslie
Leslie Gaudet is a Self Care Strategist, founder of HER Extraordinary LIFE By Design, and creator of The YES Reset Method™. After spending more than four decades in the legal profession, she chose to transform her own experience with burnout into work that helps high performing women make sustainable decisions, protect their energy, and lead with greater clarity and self trust.
Choosing a Different Way Forward
For much of her life, Leslie Gaudet believed that success meant being dependable no matter the personal cost. She built a respected career in the legal profession, where accuracy, commitment, and resilience were expected every single day. She became the person others relied on, someone who carried responsibility with quiet consistency and rarely questioned whether she was carrying too much.
Like many accomplished women, she learned that capability often came with invisible expectations. The more she proved she could handle, the more she was asked to hold. From the outside, her career reflected stability and achievement. Inside, however, she was beginning to understand that constant performance could slowly disconnect a person from herself.
Today, Leslie’s work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief. Success should never require someone to lose themselves in the process of achieving it. That belief has become the foundation of everything she teaches through HER Extraordinary LIFE By Design.
A Career Built on Responsibility
Leslie spent more than forty years working in the legal profession, supporting attorneys, clients, and complex legal work that demanded discipline, trust, and careful attention to detail. Those years shaped her professional identity and strengthened her ability to remain calm under pressure.
Yet the longer she worked in those demanding environments, the more she noticed a pattern that extended far beyond legal offices. Many capable women had become experts at carrying everyone else’s needs while quietly ignoring their own. Their calendars were full, their responsibilities were endless, and their ability to keep going often became the very reason no one noticed how exhausted they were.
For Leslie, this was not simply something she observed in others. It was the reality she lived herself. Years of saying yes without questioning the personal cost gradually became normal. What felt like dedication slowly evolved into emotional and physical depletion.
She eventually realized that burnout does not always arrive dramatically. Sometimes it grows quietly through thousands of small decisions that place everyone else’s priorities ahead of your own.
When Burnout Became the Teacher
Everything changed in 2017 when Leslie reached a point where continuing in the same way no longer felt possible. Although she held a secure position, she recognized that stability alone was no longer enough. The life she had carefully built was asking for more from her than she could sustainably give.
The following year, she made the courageous decision to leave her full time role and create a different future. Initially, she believed she was reclaiming her time. Building her own business allowed her to continue serving legal professionals while choosing how she spent her days.
As time passed, another realization surfaced. Time was only one piece of the puzzle. What truly needed protecting was her energy.
She began examining every decision she made and noticed that not every yes carried the same weight. Some decisions came from confidence and personal conviction. Others came from guilt, pressure, obligation, or fear of disappointing someone else. Understanding that difference transformed not only her own life but eventually her entire body of work.
Reflecting on that period, Leslie explains,
“Time was not the only thing I needed to reclaim. Energy was.”
That simple realization became the beginning of The YES Reset Method™ and later The Aligned Energy System, both designed to help women recognize the unseen cost of constant obligation before it becomes burnout.
Learning to Trust Herself Again
Leaving one career chapter behind did not immediately erase decades of conditioning. In many ways, Leslie discovered that rebuilding trust in herself required even greater courage than changing jobs.
For years, pushing through exhaustion had become part of her identity. She believed that strong women simply kept going regardless of how they felt. Choosing differently often felt unfamiliar because it challenged everything she had learned about professionalism, dedication, and achievement.
The process was gradual. Instead of reacting automatically, she started creating space before making decisions. She learned to listen to what was happening internally before responding to external expectations.
At the same time, her business continued evolving. She originally believed she needed to narrow her work to one professional audience. Eventually she recognized that her real focus was never an industry. It was a shared experience.
Women in law, business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and countless other professions were carrying remarkably similar emotional burdens. They were succeeding externally while quietly sacrificing themselves internally.
Once Leslie embraced that truth, her work became clearer than ever. She no longer needed to define herself by a profession because the experience she addressed crossed professional boundaries.
Rather than helping women escape demanding careers, she helps them build healthier relationships with those careers. Her message is that peace is not always found by leaving. Sometimes it is created by changing how someone shows up within the life they have already built.
Creating a New Conversation Around Self Care
One of Leslie’s strongest convictions is that self care deserves a different reputation. Too often it has been reduced to trends, quick fixes, or temporary comforts. She believes those interpretations miss its true purpose.
For her, self care is not indulgence. It is the infrastructure that allows people to continue leading effectively without sacrificing their wellbeing.
This perspective shapes every part of her work. Through coaching, speaking, writing, and her podcast, she encourages women to see energy as something that deserves the same attention as productivity or performance.
Instead of asking women to become less ambitious, she helps them become more intentional. Instead of encouraging withdrawal from responsibility, she teaches them to carry responsibility without abandoning themselves.
That distinction has become especially meaningful for women in leadership roles. Every decision they make influences not only their own wellbeing but also the people watching them, including colleagues, employees, clients, families, and future generations.
Leslie believes leadership becomes more authentic when it reflects internal alignment rather than constant sacrifice.
Building Spaces Where Women Can Be Real
As her message reached more women, Leslie began creating communities where honest conversations could happen without pressure or performance.
Her podcast, HER Extraordinary LIFE By Design, now reaches listeners in more than eighty five countries, demonstrating that the challenges high performing women experience are remarkably universal. Across cultures and careers, many women describe the same internal struggle of feeling accomplished while quietly exhausted.
She also cofounded The Circle of HER Influence, a mastermind built around genuine support instead of competition. Members gather not to promote themselves but to encourage one another through shared experience and meaningful conversation.
Now Leslie is preparing new projects that continue expanding this vision. One explores deeper approaches to emotional and energetic healing through collaboration with an energy healer. Another initiative, currently known as Faceless and Nameless Gatherings, is being thoughtfully developed to create environments where women can show up without feeling the need to perform, impress, or prove themselves.
These projects reflect the same philosophy that has guided her work from the beginning. Real transformation begins when people feel safe enough to be fully seen.
Redefining Success Through Sustainability
Leslie’s understanding of success has changed profoundly over the years.
There was a time when endurance measured achievement. If she could absorb more pressure, work longer hours, and continue performing without complaint, she believed she was succeeding.
Today, she measures success very differently.
Rather than asking how much she can tolerate, she asks whether the life she is building is sustainable. She believes genuine success allows achievement and wellbeing to exist together rather than forcing people to choose between them.
That philosophy influences the guidance she offers every woman she serves. She encourages thoughtful decision making instead of urgency, discernment instead of automatic agreement, and compassion balanced with accountability.
She also emphasizes that protecting energy is not about lowering standards. Instead, it creates the stability necessary to meet high standards consistently over time.
Reflecting on the heart of her message, Leslie says,
“Functioning is not the same as thriving. You can be capable, accomplished, and still running on empty.”
Those words capture the central lesson she hopes others discover before reaching the same level of exhaustion she once experienced herself.
A Legacy of Alignment
Leslie Gaudet’s journey is not simply about recovering from burnout. It is about redefining what leadership can look like for women who have spent years believing that sacrifice is the price of success.
Her story reminds us that transformation often begins quietly, through ordinary moments of honesty rather than dramatic change. Every decision made from self trust instead of pressure becomes another step toward a life that feels as meaningful internally as it appears externally.
Today, she continues helping women recognize that achievement and wellbeing are not competing priorities. They belong together. By choosing alignment over obligation and sustainability over endless endurance, she offers a different vision of success, one that allows women to lead with clarity while remaining fully connected to themselves.
